Athletes knocking it out of the ballpark in “World’s Top 10 highest-paid celebrities” by Forbes

What comes to your mind when you hear “Forbes’ list of top 10 highest-paid celebrities”? The easy guesses would be stars related to the entertainment industry, sports stars, and talk-show hosts. Well, that’s exactly how the orientation of the Forbes’ List goes for celebrities.

Kylie Jenner the youngest Kardashian leads this list powered by her company Kylie cosmetics earning her $590 million. But, as we focus on a more selective group of celebrities, athletes steal the limelight. Football which is considered the most famous sport in the world has always had few of the biggest names in the list of “highest-paid celebrities or superstars”. So what’s new in this list?

For starters, Roger Federer becomes the world’s highest paid athlete for the first time thanks to his lucrative endorsement deal with pioneer Japanese Apparel brand Uniqlo. Add to that, the big prize money on globally based championships that helped him earn $106.3 million.

Next on the list is renowned Portuguese winger/forward Cristiano Ronaldo earning $105 million from Italian league giants Juventus. Following CR7 in the list is Argentine number 10 Leo Messi earning $104 as the highest-paid player in Barcelona, followed by Brazilian winger Neymar Junior earning $95.5 million playing for Ligue-1side PSG and through other endorsements.

The last two names in the top 10 list are basketball player James Lebron and WWE Icon and Hollywood pop-sensation Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson both earning $88.2 million and $87.5 million respectively.
