And the King sleeps a peaceful sleep

It brought tears to the eyes of many Americans, as “Larry King passed away on 23-1-21. This marked the end of an era as American TV and Radio lost one of its finest gems. Larry King(born Lawrence Harvey Zeiger) was a very accomplished American TV and Radio Host, who was a pioneer of modern American mass media. He had been a brute force in the industry since the 1950s. His massive rise to fame came along with his starred Tv show “The Larry King Show”, which highlighted various events and current affairs.

Larry King was also very accomplished during his time as a Radio Jockey when he used to work for Maimi Radio. Starting from a 9 to 5 job as a part-time writer under Miami radio to hosting more than 50,000 interviews of various notable American and other Global personalities, Larry remains a legend. Devoting 25 great years to Radio and TV, the King eventually had retired from the shimmering world of Telecasting in 2010, but the fire in him never died. He made numerous other appearances after his retirement in renowned TV Shows and got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. 

On Jan 2, 2021, Larry was admitted to a hospital in Los Angeles after testing positive for COVID 19. From there, his condition got only worse and eventually, he took his last breath on 23, aged 87. 

Oh, what a wonderful life he lived! From building a legendary status from scratch to marrying 8 times, and winning every possible award a TV celebrity can win. The King experienced it all! At the time of his death, he had amassed a net worth of $50 million.

It’s really sad that the voice which has been heard by nearly every American, the voice which filled movies like Shrek 2 and The Bee with glamour will never be heard again. Such legends come among us once a while and what he achieved during his days on Earth will always be remembered with great enthusiasm by his followers.
